I remember when I first heard Miguel, my freshman year of college @ Morehouse. Sure Thing had just come out, and I had become obsessed with the song, a year and a half later, he releases a mixtape (which we posted back in the Fall), and suddenly everyone is bumping this dude, and its well overdue. He’s been working on his debut album for some time now, and im anxious to see what’s in store. He decided to do a cover of Drake’s Best I Ever Had for his stans, and I now remember why I think this dude is so DOPE.

So people have been patiently awaiting this Cool Kids mixtape for a minute and a half. I stayed up late last night just so I could peep it before I went to sleep, and it was definitely worth it. (besides the .rar format, that kind of pissed me off…). The Cool Kids have brought their A game,  their latest project with Don Cannon Gone Fishing is what you would expect from the duo and more. There are more than a few dope tracks on it. I won’t spoil the surprise, but almost every single one is a banger. What I liked most about it was that a majority of the tracks were produced by the Kid’s and I really dig that. So anyways peep the tape, its worth the wait. It’s officially been dubbed DOPE.. by yours truly.

Cof Cof is an up and coming band from Spain. They recently released a mini-album Safari. Something tells me their going to be gettin popular in the next year. I only recently found out about them via MYSPACE. (a hell of a drug). Arrested is a dope song, its like MGMT meets Little Boots, with a little spanish edge. So check em’ out & tell me whether you think they suck, or rock. haha.

Ummm… I’m a little confused. Peaches is hella popular around the Electronic scene, but I could never really get into the music. But I’m kind of digging this, but then again, Im kind of not. The video is dope though. Your standard “I’m tryna be different, look at people dance to my music in slow motion” video. lmao. Check it out for yourself. It’s call more…. I think I’d settle for less.

La Roux is super duper dope. Her Ladyhawke, and Lykke Li need to do a colab. That would be better than sex! WDIR peeped me to her latest, I’m Not Your Toy. It’s standard La Roux, basically it’s the shit. I would love to see her live, when I have the time. I’m not to sure on her tour details, but I know she hasn’t really hit stateside with a national tour, so hopefully soon, she will arrange something so I can meet her, and propose. hahah. Yeah yeah yeah… I know… I haven’t posted in like a month. Get over it :). Kid Cudi released a dope mixtape while I’ve been gone, and although most of the songs on there I’ve already posted, so its nothing new for us, there are a few tracks that I find dope that I hadn’t heard yet. My favorite is the one with 88 Keys Ho is For Honey. :) I even put it on my myspace. Gotta Keep it Too Trill. I love that shit. Anyways, He finally announced the date his album will drop :: August 25, 2009. So it’s a countdown, and from the looks of this mixtape (which shows alot of creative improvement over his last one) I think the album will be pretty dope.
