COUGH COUGH…. and We’re back. Yes… Its been well over six months since I’ve blogged. haha. I probably have like NO READERS. But who cares yo. I’m back. Not with a vengeance, but nonetheless, you can expect an update. For those who don’t know, a brotha joined the ARMY. Yeah… I know right… from Blogger to soldier, but school doesn’t pay for itself. Sacrafice. But yo I can still be a dope Soldier. YES I said it. Anyways enough about me. So many bands have been making good music since I last wrote up. But I figured I’d start my comeback with something classic. Why not the latest by Don Cannon and The Cool Kids. The Video is dope. I like to see the creative process, kinda shows that. And yo… since I live in Germany now… expect more European bands. A brotha can only keep up so much with the state side. Enjoy the video ya’ll.

Who would have ever thought that Lil’ Wayne would be so relevant. I mean, I remember in 6th Grade, when he FIRST came out, and all the little hoodies were googoogaga over this dude, and I was like… what? Well, I can’t say Im a HUGE fan of his past work, but Im actually really digging the new direction he’s taken with his music. I peeped this track on 2DB. It’s a potential collab with none other than the Queen, Madonna… Every time I think she’s ruined her career she comes back and slaps me in the face with some DUMB! (in a good way) so I’m hoping this reference track is something she jumps on. Check out the track called Revolver below.

There are a couple of reasons why I dig BIG Stereo, other than the fact that they put me on to some really dope bands that I would have never heard of, and the fact that the DJ’s that run it are actually really dope peeps. I felt compelled to spread the word about Vega, after seeing a few posts around the net, but once STEREO did a mention, I knew it was time to take notice. lol. Something new from Santigold. I read that her and Trouble Andrew will be touring together this summer. Im kind of mad I won’t be here to see that. :(. But nonetheless, WDIR put me on to this track, its called Your Voice, and yeah… I’m feeling it. So…. check it out, and peep the free download too.

NOW!… you know how much I love this chick. I was having a convo with my friend Terrance (check out his blog– link in the side bar) the other day, comparing notes on who’s the best acts out right now. He was digging Passion Pit, but I like solo acts more, and La Roux topped my list. Three, COUNT IT! Three singles, and Three dope videos, and her album HASN’T even dropped yet. It gets no better. She’s showing these peeps how its done. and she has my ♥.
