Part of me is kind of tired of the whole autotone thing, but Kanye keeps convincing me that I should give it another chance, and yet again, he teams up with T-Pain for a new joint titled Flight School.

It was rumured that they would be doing a colab album, kinda like the Best of Both Worlds (Jay-Z and Rkelly fiasco from a few years back) and we all know how that ended up, in a haze of pepper spray and beat downs, but yo, maybe yet again, Kayne will surprise me. Im hyped to see his Storytellers premiere Saturday, February 28th on VH-1, its must-see-tv! For now check his latest below.

K’naan, who’s new LP is the business by the way, just leaked a new track titled Bang Bang featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5. The song is pretty dope, and of course its lyrically genius, as to be expected from the ill-est Somalian in the world. :)

The Gay Blades -

I heard last week that this amazing band was supposedly opening up for one of my favorite Trip-Hop legends Tricky out in London, and was told to look em’ up when I was quoted as saying “Who the fuck is The Gay Blades!?!”. Okay, so I admit, Im a bit behind on this one, but Im more than happy that I found out about them, because their fucking AMAZING!

I think I’ve been listening to their latest release for the last four days, and kept forgetting to post it on Rat-Riot, so without further adue, I bring you The Gay Blades! Their latest video for O-Shot was released last week, so I figured it would serve as thier introduction for the readers who arent familiar. (Dont worry I wasn’t either!)

This song is fucking INSANE, and this chick is bad ass. Her name is La Roux, she’s from London (no doubt ;0) and the song is called In For The Kill. It gets in your head, and won’t let you go one bit. The video is dope. Check her out!

Ritch Scott Interview February 23, 2009| icon3No Comments »

I love this dudes music and all the tracks he produced for Santigold (she changed her name… don’t ask me why!). I think they are the coolest musical couple since John Lennon and Yoko Ono, expect both of them are talented in this scenario haha. I want to be invited to the wedding… (cough cough). Anyways, I was excited to see an interview that Nell Alk of Format Mag did with him this past week. I’m waiting for a new project from him, hopefully sometime soon he’ll be releasing something. Check out the one on one below.

World Cup-winning Olympic medallist Trevor AKA Trouble Andrew made a name for himself on slopes the globe over. Since high school, Trevor’s been letting loose on the mountain, snowboarding his way to some sort of stardom, akin to king of the hill. Now this Canadian wunderkind aims to make records rather than break them. While he once left tracks in the snow, Trevor’s out to create tracks of a different type; the kind that don’t disappear when the sun shines a little too bright.

That’s right, this visionary has his sights set on performing sold out shows to fun-loving fans with an ear for amazing music, a cross between crunk rock, hip-hop and punk, among other mix-ins. Together with his indispensable band mates – drummer Ian Longwell, guitarist Joao Salamao and bassist Masaru Takaku – better known as the Trouble Gang, Trevor’s making waves in a whole new way. And, take our word for it, you won’t want to miss this ship.
